Cosmic Link...
The universal connection.
A cosmic link 🔗 is our relationship with each other and the cosmos, sharing and strengthening our humanity while being dragged by our Sun ☀️ Star 💫 in a Spiral across the Milky Way…
Roman Diaz participation on Hand Conga Drums is inspired on the book “Del tambor al sintetizador”, written by cuban musician and writer Leo Acosta, bringing a sonic addition to the electronic music sound resources. Only one take was done during the recording as to maintain the spontaneous fresh interpretation.

Francisco Mora Catlett’s “Cosmic Link” Celebrates the Invisible Threads that Bind Us
https://jazzdelapena.com/reviews/francisco-mora-catletts-cosmic-link-celebrates-the-invisible-threads-that-bind-us/
Cosmic Link invites listeners to imagine themselves soaring through galaxies, experiencing the allure of cosmic energy, and uncovering unexpected connections. The music transitions from serene, ethereal tones to powerful, driving rhythms, reflecting the universe’s dynamic energy. Additionally, it delves into the concept of synchronicity, exploring how seemingly random events are often profoundly interconnected, suggesting a hidden order in the cosmos. This reminds us that we are all part of a larger whole.

THE AFRO HORN
The Afro Horn was conceived by Francisco Mora Catlett in Sun Ra's home, during Francisco's tenure with the Arkestra in the 70's after reading Henry Dumas's story, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?" In this story the Afro horn is a powerful instrument that unites and completes the music circle, bringing new light and life.
The first Afro-Horn appearance was during the 80’s in Detroit, at Baker's Keyboard Lounge with Vincent Bowens on Tenor Saxophone, James Carter on Tenor Saxophone, Rodney Whitaker on Bass and Francisco Mora Catlett on Drums.
Francisco was proud to present Afro Horn for the first time in New York City at the Stone. Once again he built a strong and appropriate lineup and music for this exciting concept. He managed to align himself with a band of Detroiters: Alex Harding on Baritone Saxophone, Salim Washington on Tenor Saxophone, and Hakim Jami on Bass, they are all transplanted New Yorkers who began in Detroit. Francisco brings alive the circle of the African Heritage in his music and art.
"OUTERZONE" is a Jazz outburst that started out from the work and experiences in the Inner Zone Orchestra with Carl Craig and Craig Taborn, the work lead in that direction.
In "OUTERZONE" Jazz is the looking glass and the music of the African Presence in the Americas is the horizon.
